Ridgewood Baptist Church is a community of baptized believers seeking to carry out the Great Commission by loving God, loving God’s people, and loving God’s Kingdom

Loving God has to do with when we meet for worship, loving God’s people has to do with our small group structure, and loving God’s Kingdom embraces all outreach including our missions program supporting worldwide evangelism.

We also emphasize discipleship which is the one-on-one mentoring structure in our church. This is an intentional part of our culture where mature believers help bring younger believers to maturity in Christ. Generally this is done as members take someone under their wing and meet over coffee or lunch to study together.

    INSPIRATIONAL
    THOUGHTS FROM
    THE BIBLE.

"The Bible is sufficient for every spiritual need. There are many things the Bible does not teach me. It does not teach me how to change the oil in my car, how to fix my computer, or how to balance my checking account. But when it comes to the spiritual challenges of my life, God’s Word always has the answer. As the psalmist confessed, “Therefore, I consider all your precepts to be right.” (Psalm 119:128) We do not need more than God’s Word. We should never settle for less than God’s Word. We will always find God’s Word to be sufficient."

    INSPIRATIONAL
    THOUGHTS FROM
    THE BIBLE.

"Discipleship is the main business of the church. In all five of the New Testament’s Great Commission texts there is one consistent commandment we are to obey. “Make disciples of all nations.” (Cf. Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18, Luke 24:45-49, John 20:21-23, and Acts 1:8) Discipleship is our main work. Therefore, here at Ridgewood we strive to be disciples of Christ, who make disciples of Christ, for the glory of God."

    INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHTS FROM THE BIBLE.

"Can I trust God? Always! I can trust him because he is sovereign, nothing happens outside his control. I can trust him because he is infinite in his wisdom, nothing ever happens by mistake. In his wisdom he directs all things according to his perfect will. And I can trust him because his love is unconditional, nothing can happen in my life that is not ultimately for a good and loving purpose."
